St. Paul AME Zion Church’s Health Ministry is committed to nurturing the well‑being of our congregation and surrounding community through practical, accessible, and compassionate care. As part of this mission, we regularly host licensed nurses who provide free blood pressure screenings and basic health checks, ensuring that every person—regardless of age, income, or insurance status—has a place to monitor their health with dignity. These touchpoints not only help identify early warning signs but also empower individuals to take charge of their wellness in a supportive, faith‑centered environment.

To further strengthen our community’s health, we invite medical professionals and health educators to share vital information about conditions that disproportionately affect Black families, such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers. Through open conversations, Q&A sessions, and resource sharing, our Health Ministry equips individuals with knowledge that can save lives and strengthen households. This ministry reflects our belief that caring for the body is an essential part of caring for the whole person—and that together, we can build a healthier, stronger, and more informed community.
